Introduction: Letting Your Best Friend Go "Home"

I am creating this blog for all of you who have or are losing one of most important members of your household: your pet.

I am a Spiritual Counselor and Healer and I have devoted my life to finding truth in every aspect of our human existence. I have been doing professional readings and healings for about 5 years now and it all began with the love of my life, Chiquita. It if wasn't for my beautiful Sheltie/Fox Terrier mix, I may have never realized my intuitive gifts that have helped hundreds of people.

The first time I recognized I had the ability to heal was with my best friend and true love, my dog, Chiquita. While chasing after a squirrel at the park, Chiquita tore a ligament in her left hind leg. When I took her to the vet, the doctor advised that she would need surgery to repair the torn ligaments and would cost roughly about  $2500 dollars. I didn't have that money at my disposal so for the next couple of days I began to put my hands over her leg in hopes that the energy from my hands would heal her. I had read about this technique in the book, "Autobiography of a Yogi" written by Yogananda Paramahansa, so I thought I would try it. A week later Chiquita stopped limping and soon after that she could run and jump again. I couldn't believe that it actually worked. I was shocked and in disbelief. After that, doors began to open for me to study the healing arts and 5 years later I have a private practice.

Well, it is coming to the point in my and Chiquita's life that we have to part ways from the physical world. She is now 18 years old and very sick. This chapter in my life has to be the most painful I have experienced thus far. If you are a pet owner and have had a pet you loved more than your own parents and family, then you can relate to the agony that is associated with this type of loss.

I am starting this blog to not only help myself with the ache that I feel in my heart, but to help millions of people who will one day have to face this reality as well. I am documenting every step I am taking to let Chiquita know that it is okay to go to the "Light". I was advised by my Spirit Guides to take several steps to begin to detach and let her know that she can go "Home".

As a trained healer and clairvoyant, I have been taught how to communicate with animals and how to speak to them at a soul level. With the tools that I have gathered throughout my life from various spiritual teachers, gurus, shamans, healers and psychics I am developing a method and practice to help us learn to let go of our animals in a peaceful, harmonious and loving way. I talk to Chiquita everyday now that she is still in physical form because I know she's very close to going "Home".

Stay tuned for my next post where I will discuss the first step of this process....

Lots of Love and Light,
